Sense and the City

422 South were asked to contribute to the Sense and the City exhibition and the London Transport Museum. We provided some of the gps London taxi animations from the series for Lion TV called Britain from Above.

Stephen Feber, curator of the exhibition, sourced some of the most innovative solutions to some of the problems facing the future of transportation in London. The exhibiton explores how emerging technologies are changing the way we access and experience London and compares this with past visions of the future. GPS, electric vehicles, pervasive internet access, sensor data, short range wireless communication, reactive surfaces, augmented reality, open data, smart phones and a range of new apps redefine the way we see and experience London.

Onedotzero ran a series of events alongside the exhibition looking at the city as a canvas and an open hack day for data nerds like us.

Also featured in the exhibtion, we were able to see a sneak preview of Thomas Heatherwick’s new bus for London. Which we rather like!
