On the 18th of August, 2018, NASA launched the Parker Solar Probe on a mission to the Sun.
It will travel at speeds of up to 690,000 km/h (430,000 mph), and will approach to within 9.86 solar radii (6.9 million kilometers or 4.3 million miles) from the center of the Sun.
The team at 422 South worked with Thoroughly Modern Media to create a number of cgi shots for their documentary for National Geographic TV which tells the story of this incredible mission.
