Invisible Netherlands is a landmark documentary series from Dutch broadcaster VPRO. The eight part series delves into the past and nods to the future, covering topics which are pertinent to modern life; health, water, connected cities, contact, trade, energy and security. The Netherlands has undergone some serious alterations over the centuries, it’s been ploughed, diked and refurbished more than most countries!
Our team has worked closely with the producers of the series to create a series of historic animations, data visualizations and moving images to bring the stories to life. Using the latest lidar scanning technologies we blend the virtual with real 3d models, use data to visualize trade movements in and out of the Netherlands, and visualize a connected city using 5G networks.
